Eight Priorities for Lakeshore
1. Traffic & Roads
Aggressively pursue the ~$60M provincial share for the County Rd 22 / Manning Rd interchange, publish an annual Road Conditions Report, prioritize school zones and high-crash corridors, and convene a Lakeshore Roads Task Force with quarterly resident input.
2. Smart Growth
A public Growth Sequencing Map tying approvals to infrastructure capacity, support for diverse housing (townhomes, duplexes, rentals), farmland and rural-character protection, and faster, more predictable approvals for qualified projects.
3. Infrastructure
A public Capital Projects Dashboard tracking status, cost, and timelines; aggressive grant pursuit; delivery of approved projects like the Stoney Point Wastewater upgrades; and an annual State of Lakeshore Infrastructure address.
4. Local Economy & Jobs
A 'Lakeshore Open for Business' concierge service, Belle River main-street revitalization, partnership with the WindsorEssex Development Corporation, and a workforce-housing strategy so local workers can afford to live here.
5. Character Protection
A Community Assets Guarantee with transparent rules on municipal land and parks, zoning that preserves farmland, fair rules on greenhouses and short-term rentals, and respect for the distinct identity of all 13 communities.
6. Safety & Recreation
Stable funding for our ~100 volunteer firefighters, expanded affordable youth programming, a Seniors Action Plan, a strong OPP partnership focused on traffic safety, and protected, enhanced waterfronts.
7. Flood & Shoreline Resilience
An annual Flood & Shoreline Progress Report, priority drainage fixes, partnership with the Essex Region and Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authorities, a resident preparedness program, and advocacy for shoreline residents.
8. A Full-Time Mayor's Office
Lakeshore as the sole professional focus — daily Town Hall presence, weekly office hours rotating through all 13 communities, a monthly public Mayor's Update in writing and video, and an annual State of Lakeshore Address.

Listen First
Visit all 13 communities and hold listening sessions with residents, farmers, business owners, fire services, and seniors' groups.
Open the Books
Publish the Growth Sequencing Map, launch the Capital Projects Dashboard, and issue the first quarterly Mayor's Update.
Get to Work
Convene the Roads Task Force, submit a formal County Rd 22 / Manning position, publish approval service standards, and deliver the first infrastructure address.
