Meet Sam Sinjari
Sam Sinjari is a Lakeshore resident, businessman, and philanthropist with 19 years of leadership in finance, operations, governance, and public service. His career in business and finance taught him how to read a budget, manage operations, and hold projects accountable from start to finish — exactly the discipline a growing municipality needs. Sam has served on boards and committees across the region, including Crime Stoppers of Windsor & Essex County, Hydrocephalus Canada, the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario, and the Rotary Club of Windsor. He is the founder and host of Empowering Kindness, a weekly community radio program on AM800. His philanthropy is hands-on: Thanksgiving meals for families in need, more than 700 pairs of work shoes donated to employment programs, board games for children's services, and socks for people experiencing homelessness. In 2024–25 he was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Ontario Medal for Good Citizenship, recognizing him as one of Ontario's exceptional civic leaders. Sam is running for Mayor to give Lakeshore something it hasn't had: a full-time leader who listens first, protects taxpayers, respects every community, and gets things done.

Lakeshore as the sole focus — present at Town Hall, weekly office hours rotating through all 13 communities, and a monthly public Mayor's Update. No competing executive roles.
Responsible Growth
Growth planned around what our infrastructure can handle — scaled emergency services, wastewater capacity, and roads. A public Growth Sequencing Map ties approvals to real capacity, not density for its own sake.
Respect for Taxpayers
Population growth shouldn't mean automatic tax hikes. Sam will scrutinize the 'growth trap' and 'grant trap,' pursue smart funding, and report publicly on how every dollar is spent.
Safer Communities
New traffic-calming measures, sidewalks, improved intersections, and signalized crossings for seniors, families, and children — plus stable funding for our ~100 volunteer firefighters and a strong OPP partnership.
Roads & Traffic
Aggressively pursue provincial funding for the County Rd 22 / Manning Rd interchange, publish an annual Road Conditions Report, and prioritize school zones and high-crash corridors.
Flood & Shoreline Resilience
Priority drainage fixes, partnership with our conservation authorities, an annual Flood & Shoreline Progress Report, and real advocacy for shoreline residents facing erosion.

Public parks shouldn't be decided behind residents' backs
In 2025, the Municipality issued an Expression of Interest to redevelop publicly-owned Oakwood Park for housing and commercial use. Residents say they learned about it through a Facebook post rather than official notification. A petition gathered more than 2,200 signatures, a public meeting was derailed, and on November 18, 2025 council voted 7–1 to withdraw the plan — with councillors apologizing for insufficient transparency.

Growth is outpacing the plan to pay for it
Lakeshore is projected to grow past 60,000 residents by 2051, yet faces an estimated $22.1 million annual infrastructure funding gap. Approving growth faster than the roads, sewers, and services to support it pushes long-term costs onto today's taxpayers.
