What has Sam done for the community?
His giving is hands-on and local: Thanksgiving meals for families in need, more than 700 pairs of work shoes donated to employment-assistance programs, board games for children's services, and socks for people experiencing homelessness. It is a decade-long habit of showing up for neighbours, not a campaign talking point.
How does Sam give back beyond donations?
Sam is the founder and host of Empowering Kindness, a weekly community radio program on AM800 running since 2021. He has served on boards and committees including Crime Stoppers of Windsor & Essex County, Hydrocephalus Canada, the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario, and the Rotary Club of Windsor.
How has that service been recognized?
Sam received the Queen Elizabeth II Ontario Medal for Good Citizenship, along with a Community Champion Award from the Odette School of Business — recognition of sustained, measurable service to the community.
Leadership is a habit. Sam has spent years quietly serving Lakeshore and Windsor-Essex — the same values of showing up, listening, and following through that he would bring to the Mayor's office.
