Sam Sinjari for Mayor

Sam Sinjari's Plan for Stoney Point

Stoney Point is a lakeside community in the eastern part of the Municipality of Lakeshore, on Lake St. Clair. It is home to the Stoney Point Wastewater Treatment Plant — a $4.3 million capital project in 2026 — and its shoreline location makes water infrastructure and flood resilience the central issues.

What defines Stoney Point?

Stoney Point is one of Lakeshore's eastern lakeshore communities, with a quieter, rural-lakeside character and a direct stake in the municipality's wastewater and shoreline decisions.

What issues matter most here?

Delivering the Stoney Point Wastewater Treatment Plant upgrade, shoreline and flood resilience, road maintenance, and making sure the eastern communities are not overlooked in favour of the busier western end.

Sam's plan for Stoney Point

Deliver the wastewater upgrade and track it on a public Capital Projects Dashboard, prioritize drainage and shoreline protection, keep local roads maintained, and give the eastern communities a genuine seat at the table.

Respecting Stoney Point

Every community gets a seat at the table — including the ones farther from Town Hall. Stoney Point's water and shoreline issues deserve full-time attention.
